Nelson Construction

Overview
Relationships fuel everything we do, and we do our best work with partners who share that value. We felt that from Nelson Construction from the very first conversation. A legacy, family-owned business, Nelson brought the same people-first approach to this partnership that they bring to every job site, and it shaped the entire project.
Nelson’s website and marketing materials no longer reflected the caliber of its work. The company needed a digital presence that could serve as a validation tool for potential partners and clients: one that told a compelling brand story, showcased recent projects, and made it easy to evaluate a working relationship.

Approach
Brand Refresh & Storytelling
We refreshed Nelson Construction’s visual aesthetic to reflect its reputation for excellence and developed clear, compelling messaging that told the company’s story in a way that resonates with its target audience. Every element of language, imagery, and design was built around Nelson’s strategic goals and its evolution as a company.
Website Architecture & UX
Before any design work began, we mapped the sitemap and the user journeys of Nelson’s key audiences, from first-time visitors learning about the brand to potential partners evaluating a working relationship. Wireframes for every page template defined content placement and flow, guiding each audience toward the information most relevant to them, with a responsive experience built for desktop and mobile.
Project Showcasing & Content Strategy
At the center of the new site is a structured portfolio section built to do justice to Nelson’s project history: high-quality imagery, detailed descriptions, and key insights for each build. We worked closely with Nelson’s team on page copy and headlines, migrated legacy content, and revised existing case studies and testimonials to align with the new brand language. The result is a content management system Nelson can use to add new projects and company news on their own, keeping the site current as new work comes in.
Marketing Strategy
Beyond the website, we developed a marketing strategy to give Nelson’s referral-driven business a more structured, sustainable growth engine. Working within Nelson’s EOS framework, we ran discovery sessions with leadership to align marketing with broader business objectives and define measurable KPIs, then segmented Nelson’s key audiences by their needs, motivations, and decision-making drivers.
The strategy outlined an integrated marketing ecosystem anchored by the new website, supported by organic social media, email marketing, strategic partnerships, and selective press and community outreach. An editorial calendar and reporting framework gave Nelson’s team visibility into timing and ownership, and a clear way to measure what’s working.

Impact
Nelson Construction now has a digital presence that matches the quality of its work: a site that showcases its project history, tells its brand story, and gives potential partners the confidence to move forward. With a scalable CMS in place, Nelson’s team can keep the site current on their own, and with a marketing strategy and editorial calendar in hand, they have a clear roadmap for turning a strong reputation into sustained brand visibility and long-term growth.
More than the deliverables, this project is a reminder of what’s possible when a client shares our belief that people come first. That shared foundation let our teams collaborate closely and build something that reflects Nelson’s legacy as well as it reflects our partnership.
